Trees Reflection in the Water

ELUSIVE EVICTIONS

When I’m in the heat and I feel the wake inside I fall asleep
This impulse that’s in every moment
I speak the truth when I can’t deny I’m falling down
To this temporary place I call my home

And now I feel you stare
And now it seems so clear

So just let go
Evict your elusive chains
Don’t find your fault
Just let it wash away

I keep on pushing boundaries convincing myself
That it’s all alright, that I’m all okay
Manipulation flowing through my veins is going up
And I can’t put it back into decline

And now I feel you stare
And now it seems so clear

I know I need to put it though your mind but I’m still holding in
The sleep I’m getting every night is thin

So just let go
Evict your elusive chains
Don’t find your fault
Just let it wash away

Let’s Go

There’s no conviction in anything I do
It’s like I’m pounding my fist just to break through
I’m keeping pictures from better times to try and take back my life
But my life has been here all along

Your evil will be replaced with kindness
Speak your case you won’t be silenced
Leave behind your barrel of wrongs and walk with me
I can tell you’re running from the things that you’re still sleeping with
Forget it all up until now and let it be

When I feel I’m all alone I can’t replace this selfish tone
How can I confess to what I did?
Standing here in muddy waters seeping right into my shoes
Can’t clean out the dirt it has rusted

Rusted

Can’t change this, escape this

Has Rusted

This won’t be the way it all goes down
It’s the point where I break
That I’m surrounded with shame
(with shame)
I need to escape

This won’t determine my fate

This won’t determine my fate
Just let go

And now I feel you stare
And now it seems so clear
So just let go
